"Tax dollars should not be wasted on art, music or theater classes in high school. Public high schools should be about training young people to enter the workforce. Period."   I disa gree with this statement , because school is more tha n just about being trained for the workforce. It is also about train ing you r brain to think and be creative. Arts clas ses help students learn to be creative and think outside the bo x. Arts classes help students devel op sk ills that will be useful through out life, su ch as attention to detail, confidence, and patience. Tax dollars spent on arts is mone y well spe nt, bec au se students who partic ipate in arts classes are overall more well rounded students. It is beneficial to teach students skills beyond just working.
