After seeing the whole image, I can clearly see that the man is normal sized and the face is a giant piece of art. Helnwein's art is of a girl's face. She is very pale and has large, sad eyes. The piece of art is large and takes up the whole side of a building. The girl looks like she is staring right into the eyes of the viewer. Since she is so large, her gaze is very powerful and has an effect on the viewer. The image looks like it is all one, not spliced together, but it is hard to tell. The image is in an urban area right along the side of a road, so many people will see it. The expression on the girl's face is sad, yet her eye's also show a hint of fear. She also looks sick. I think the title, "The Last Girl" suggests something about young children, or young girls, being sick or abused and not getting taken care of. It is sending a message that something needs to be done.

This picture is of a girls face, and a smaller man appears to be climbing up her face. I think it is a large piece of art with a regular sized person climbing up the face. The image is not photoshopped. It think the photographer's intent was to show how small the man was in comparison to the large piece of art. The man almost looks like a little bug just crawling on the face.

     I would define minimalism in photography as a photo so simple that there may be almost nothing to it, but it still manages to capture the viewers attention. The image uses other elements such as space, color, contrast, and symmetry/asymmetry to make the photo interesting rather that filling the whole photo with detail      I think that these images are good examples of minimalism because there is not too much going on in any of them. They are all very pleasant to look at, and I find them interesting. Keeping the backgrounds simple in each of them helps the smaller details stand out while still keeping the overall picture very simple and interesting.
